Haven’t had a chance to incorporate any world of warcraft macros to your toon? Not really sure what they do or how you get them? Once we help you understand all the ins and outs of wow macros, it’s important to make a few of them right from the get go. It doesn’t matter if you need wow hunter macros, mage macros, or any other class, all of them need at least three.

In short, a wow macro is basically a way for you to enhance your fighting against opponents. Whether you need an extra boost of mana with two different rankings or want to cast two spells at once, it’s all possible with world of warcraft macros. The only thing you need to figure out is how to use them. We’ll give you a couple wow hunter macros as an example below, then get into the ones that everyone will need.

Now, wow macros revolve around slash commands. You’ve probably used them a couple times with a simple /whisper or /dance when you’re having fun. However, when you use them for battle, you can execute as many spells or abilities in a row as you want. The only downfall to this is you won’t be able to do anything else until the cycle has been completed.

Anyways, once you figure out how to make a macro, it’s time to add them to your action bars. A good example of the wow hunter macros is one that will allow your pet to charge (Charge), let your hunter increase ranged attack power by 450 (Hunter’s Mark), and start shooting arrows (Auto-Shot) all at the same time. So what does it look like when you place the commands?

/petattack
/cast [pet:/cat] Dash
/cast Hunter’s Mark
/startattack

As you can see you can do whatever you want with wow macros. It’s funny to watch people in major cities like Stormwind or Orgrimmar producing a macro that makes everyone dance as they shoot off fireworks and everything else. This is the same type of stuff you find behind the scenes of your computer, and using them in the game are extremely important when you reach higher levels.

While it’s hard to determine the best world of warcraft macros for you, we do have a short list that should be able to help anyone. Most importantly, none of them are complicated when you use them, so rest assured these can be used shortly after you make them. We’ll give you the three we believe can help you, but once you get comfortable making macros you may want to get rid of them.

/targetenemy
/targetenemy 1

The wow macro above gives you the opportunity to switch to different enemies with the click of a button. The second slash command allows you to revert back to the previous target if you need to finish them off. Healers can change it to /targetfriend and /targetfriend 1 to keep up with health issues.

/castsequence Trinket 1, Trinket 2

Everyone comes across a trinket or two that can give them the opportunity for different abilities. If you set up wow macros for your trinkets, you’ll only need one button to utilize them both.

/use Healing Potion
/cast (your health regen here)

This is going to be a little different for each class, but for those of you who have healing abilities, you’ll enjoy these types of world of warcraft macros. There are several variations, but remember to only use one spell per macro. If you take advantage of these and see the benefits, you’ll want to start building your own for your character. Even if the WoW hunter macro isn’t your class, the three below it is for anyone.
