World of Warcraft Pets – Information on World of Warcraft Pets

Wow Pets Information

Exploring the World of Warcraft world of Azeroth can be great fun, but it’s even more enjoyable with a companion at your side. Blizzard, the game creators, have included so many wow pets and companions for your characters to enjoy that it’s hard to know which ones to collect first.

Inside the game, these adorable little pets are called vanity pets or non-combat pets. While some characters are able to train pets to assist them during combat, these vanity pets are predominantly for your character to use as a companion or even as a cute accessory.

What Level Should I Be To Get a Vanity WoW Pets?

Some pets can be bought from vendors at any level. The only things you need to get one of these pets are enough silver or gold and the ability to get to a town with a pet-selling vendor. You can also buy unwanted pets from the Auction House at any level, although this is usually a more expensive option.

Along with the ability to buy pets from vendors or from the Auction House, there are some pets that are only given as a reward for completing quests. Your character will need to be at an appropriate level to finish that quest. Characters with Engineering skills are able to create certain wow pets. Other pets may also be random drops from certain mobs at various levels.
From time to time, Blizzard may also release limited edition pets and companions during special occasions, anniversaries and holiday seasons.

Will My Vanity Pet Help Me In Combat?

The majority of pets and companions are merely accessories. Some are adorably cute and others are just disgusting. It’s up to you which one you feel suits your character best.

How Many Vanity Pets Can I Have?

You’re able to own as many vanity world of warcraft pets as you want, but you can only have one active any time. Many characters compete to see who can collect the most pets. This can be challenging as many are quite rare drops from different parts of the world.

If you’re still leveling up your character, you might want to store their cages at the Bank or you’ll be taking up too much bag space with pets while you’re questing.

What If I Have a Combat Pet Already?

If you have a Hunter or a Warlock with a combat pet already following you around, then you are able to summon a vanity pet as well at the same time. They’ll both follow you around happily wherever you want to go.

Can I Sell My Vanity Pet?

You are able to sell some wow pets to other players or sell them on the Auction House. Other wow pets are able to be sold to vendors. The way to tell them apart is to check the type of pet you want to sell. If it’s mentioned that it’s BoP, this means it will Bind On Pickup, which means you can’t sell it on the Auction House but you can sell it to a vendor. Wow Pets that are BoU, or Bind On Use can be traded between players or sold.
